GEN2 is becoming MODULITH
Same system. Same parts. New name.
If you arrived here from an older video, a BOM link, or a QR code: you're in the right place. The system you know as GEN2 now goes by MODULITH - the name changed, the system didn't.
What is NOT changing
- Every GEN2 part you've printed stays fully compatible. The rails, the QuickLocks, the grid - nothing about the physical system moved. What you build today remains part of what you build tomorrow.
- Your downloads stay where they are. The Printables, Thangs, and MakerWorld listings keep working; nothing gets pulled or re-uploaded out from under you.
- Part names still resolve. The Planner and its parts lists understand both the GEN2 names and the MODULITH names - old bookmarks and old BOMs keep working.
- Free stays free. The rename changes nothing about access.
Why rename at all? "GEN2" described a version. MODULITH describes what the system actually is: modular storage you configure, print, and reconfigure as your setup changes. It's a name the system can keep for good - there will be no GEN3 rename, because parts don't expire here.
Where to go next: browse the catalog, plan a build in the Planner, or see what people make with it in the wild.
