Hanging builds
How a wall or under-cabinet build carries its weight.
Every hanging build carries its weight from a single top peg row: the top row of cases mounts to the wall, and each row below hangs off the case above it via the dovetail rails.
- Use Wall Mount Lite brackets on the top row. They come in 1W, 2W, and 3W tiles - there is no 4W bracket, so a 4W case takes two 2W brackets or a 1W + 3W pair.
- 0.5H cases cannot occupy the top (peg) row - start the top row at 1H or taller.
- Placement rule for hanging builds: put 3W/4W cases low in the build with 1W/2W up top. Side walls carry the load, so wide cases are happiest where less hangs beneath them.
The fully illustrated version of this guide is being ported from the current site - the rules above are the load-bearing ones.
